The ELX2792 output terminal has two relays, each with a changeover contact, which can be used universally to switch intrinsically safe loads up to zone 0/20. These could be, for example, solenoid valves, contactors or optical/acoustic signal devices. The ELX2792 features potential-free contacts. The signal state of each individual channel is displayed by an LED. EtherCAT Terminals from the ELX series must always be operated in conjunction with the ELX9560 power feed terminal, which generates an electrically isolated output voltage (24 V EX) from the input voltage (24 V DC) to supply the downstream ELX terminals. If a renewed feed-in should be necessary, the combination of an ELX9410 and an ELX9560 can be used so that further ELX terminals can be connected inline. The ELX terminal segment must be terminated with an ELX9012 or two ELX9410.
