The EL2878-0005 digital output terminal offers a very compact design with its 8 channels. A 20-pin contact strip enables the secure connection of plug connectors using insulation displacement contact, as is usual for ribbon cables and special round cables. This significantly simplifies the wiring of many channels. The signal states of the channels are indicated by LEDs. The terminal also monitors the supply voltage and reports the status via process image and LED.
