The CX5120-01xx-9020 has been technically adapted to the CX5110 and also features a 1.20-GHz Intel Atom® single-core processor. The CX5120-01xx-9020 is therefore 100% binary and functionally compatible with the CX5110 and is intended for substitution and replacement deliveries until the CX5110 is available.

The hardware interfaces are based on the existing CX5100 series and are identical in design. Two independent, gigabit-capable Ethernet interfaces are available, in addition to four USB 2.0 interfaces and a DVI-I interface. A wide range of additional connection options or gateway functions are available thanks to the optional interface and I/O level, which can consist of either E-bus or K-bus terminals and can be fitted ex factory.

The CX5120-01xx-9020 has a 128-kB NOVRAM persistent data memory as standard. In addition, the embedded PC can be ordered ex factory with a capacitive 1-second UPS. The CX5120-01xx-9020 is characterized by low power consumption and a fanless design.

Depending on the installed TwinCAT runtime environment, the CX5120-01xx-9020 can be used for the implementation of PLC or PLC/motion control projects with or without visualization.
