The FC1428 EtherCAT card can be used to integrate an industrial PC into an EtherCAT G network as a master. The card has over eight EtherCAT G channels and a total of eight ix-Industrial® type A connectors. Type ZK1096-969A-0005 adapter cables are required to connect the EtherCAT devices.

The FC1428 provides a total of eight fully DC-synchronous EtherCAT G masters so that no external synchronization is required to synchronize the EtherCAT masters or EtherCAT segments with each other. This function is particularly useful for XPlanar systems that require synchronously running EtherCAT masters. The FC1428 can also be used to achieve EtherCAT redundancy.
