The EL6254 Ethernet Modbus TCP terminal enables distributed connection of any Modbus TCP devices to the EtherCAT terminal network. The EL6254 can work as a Modbus client and Modbus TCP server simultaneously and provides up to eight connections which can be used as desired. The IP address of the connected Modbus server can also be changed by the PLC during operation. The EL6254 has an internal switch with four external ports, meaning that four Modbus TCP devices can be connected without an additional switch.
