The EL6251 Ethernet Modbus TCP terminal enables distributed connection of any Modbus TCP devices to the EtherCAT terminal network. The EL6251 can work as a Modbus client and Modbus TCP server simultaneously and provides up to eight connections which can be used as desired. The IP address of the connected Modbus server can also be changed by the PLC during operation. The EL6251 has an Ethernet port, meaning that switches must be used when several Modbus TCP devices are connected.
