The EP9576-1032 EtherCAT Box contains high-performance capacitors for stabilizing supply voltages. In connection with drive applications, reverse currents are stored and thus overvoltages are prevented. If the energy fed back exceeds the buffer capacity, it is dissipated.
The brake resistor converts excess energy, generated when braking, motors into heat. The EP9576-1032 can be used in conjunction with the EP70xx stepper motor modules, the EP7211 servomotor modules, the EP7342 DC motor output stage or other compact drive solutions.
The EP9576-1032 features internal diagnostic functions. Warnings or error messages, e.g. on reaching/exceeding the permissible limit temperature values are signaled via EtherCAT.
