The PS9421-4840-0000 redundancy module is suitable for the setup of a redundant, fail-safe supply network. It is equipped with two inputs, to which two 2 x 20 A power supplies with 24 V DC or 48 V DC can be connected. The output can continuously conduct rated currents of up to 40 A. The redundancy module uses MOSFETs to decouple the two inputs; this reduces heat generation and the voltage drop between input and output. The redundancy module requires no additional auxiliary voltage and is autonomous even in case of a short-circuit at the output. Due to the low losses, the module is very compact and requires an installation width of just 32 mm on the DIN rail.
