The IP2040-Bxxx digital output connects the binary control signals from the automation unit on to the actuators at the process level. The eight outputs handle load currents of up to 2 A each, although the total current is limited to 12 A. The outputs are supplied by three load circuits; for this reason these modules do not relay the supply voltage. The signals are connected via 8 mm snap type connectors.

The outputs are short-circuit proof and protected against inverse connection.
