On 26 February 2016 the iF Design Award 2016 winners were celebrated. For the second time Beckhoff received the prestigious award for outstanding product design under the motto "Where design meets industry".
After the CX2000 Embedded PC series in 2014, this time a modular drive system won the award: The AX8000 multi-axis servo system excels through its optimised functionality and high-quality materials in a minimalistic design. Configuring the number of single or dual-channel axis modules to the infeed module, the system can be matched to suit individual requirements. It also convinces through the quick and easy assembly of the modules by means of the integrated AX-Bridge quick-release connection system that is based on spring clamps.
