SCT5564 Ring-type CT and EL3444 power measurement terminal

The SCT5564 differential current transformer can be used as a residual current monitor (RCM). The SCT5564 type B/B+ can measure DC and AC residual currents with frequencies up to 100 kHz ranging from 0 to 2 A. With its selectable settings, the RCM is a flexible platform for differential current measurement that is suitable for many applications. It can be used when planning an industrial plant or when expanding the plant with new, modern DC-based loads or high switching frequencies, which can increase the leakage current in the plant.

 

The SCT5564 differential current transformer has an analog 4…20 mA output that represents the real-time TrueRMS (TRMS) effective value of the measured differential current. In addition, a potential-free relay output (NO/NC) with freely selectable residual current can be used for warnings or even a system shutdown if the TRMS residual current measured value exceeds the pre-set value. The status of the relay output is mapped on an LED to provide a visual indication on the device itself. Both a built-in test button and an external test button input are provided for periodic testing of the RCM in accordance with applicable product standards.
