Fewer components, decentralization, higher system availability, and shorter development cycles
The British company Magway has developed an autonomous, sustainable parcel delivery system using underground pipes. The challenge was to move the sophisticated algorithm to the lowest possible level. Using the TwinCAT 3 target for Simulink®, Magway was able to implement its control algorithms directly on an industrialized platform. This resulted in comprehensive economic benefits: Fewer components, decentralization, higher system availability, and shorter development cycles.
