An integrated solution right up to the cloud: The Beckhoff measuring chain
Optimum interlocking of hardware and software modules provides a complete measuring chain:
- sensor connection to I/O modules in IP20 and IP67
- high-performance fieldbus systems: EtherCAT and EtherCAT G
- on-premises TwinCAT software integrates engineering, PLC, motion control, safety, visualization, communication, and measurement technology
- control-integrated cloud connection
Optimized measuring bridge acquisition: EL336x EtherCAT Terminals
- direct connection of resistance bridges or load cells
- multi-channel measurement, each with 24-bit resolution and 10‑ksps sampling rate
- integrated voltage generation with switchable bridge supply (5 V to 10 V)
Cascaded cell voltage measurement: EL3008-0003
- short and long-term monitoring of single cell voltages, e.g. in accumulators and fuel cells
- measurement of stacked voltages up to 1000 V CAT II
- recording large cell stacks with minimal wiring
Precise, flexible, and powerful: Combined multi-functional terminals
- multi-functional inputs that cover all standard signals in the ±10 V and ±20 mA range (EL307x and EL407x), available in various signal combinations and channel densities, along with combined analog inputs and outputs (EL4374)
- high output power allows loads of up to 750 Ω (current) or > 2 kΩ (voltage) to be connected
- low analog uncertainty at less than 0.1% and extended measurement/output ranges (±107%) enable high production quality and precise process control, even at the limit range
- 16-bit resolution and channel conversion rates of 2 ksps enable close process monitoring and control
- plain text description of analog values and parameters with floating point numbers simplify commissioning enormously
