Special Patterns was first established in 1973. Over the years Special Patterns have developed into one of Australia’s most versatile pattern and toolmaking companies including specialising in robotic cell solutions.
Special Patterns has been leading the way with pattern and tool making since 1973, originally supplying tooling aids to manufacturers and growing to be a major supplier of tooling and equipment to the Australian Automotive Industry.
The business grew on the back of this work going on to supply to many industry sectors including Aerospace and Defence, Architecture and Mining and Construction, Medical, Transport, Infrastructure and Universities. Work included many types of production tooling, checking fixtures, prototypes and mock ups.
It was in 2016 that Special Patterns decided to launch a new division to our business and branch out into the robotics industry. The in-house robotics division was setup to focus on robotic milling and the first job was to apply robotic technology to pattern making servicing all the same industries and now including Retail Robotics.
