The baseplates, equipped with standardized interfaces, form the basis of the MX system and, with three sizes and up to 32 slots per row, ensure flexible scalability to meet all application requirements. In the IP67-protected combination with the function modules, they can be attached directly to the machine using screw connections and can therefore be visually and functionally integrated into the machine installation space. This eliminates the need for a conventional control cabinet.

The baseplates provide both the electrical and the mechanical interface for the function modules and have only data slots in size 1 and additional power slots from size 2 for supplying more powerful drive, relay or system modules. All baseplates consist of a stable aluminum profile and have connection options for potential equalization and integrated diagnostic functions.
