    PC-based control for robotics in handling, production and assembly

    PC-based control is highly modular and precisely scalable with regard to each application’s individual performance requirements. It is well-suited for controlling and monitoring the whole process chain of individual machines and complete production lines: Feeding, joining, assembly, checking, handling and palletising can all be universally automated with Beckhoff Industrial PCs as the hardware platform, TwinCAT as the automation software and EtherCAT as the communication system.

    Minimises the control cabinet: AMP8000 Distributed Servo Drive system

    The AMP8000 distributed Servo Drive system opens up new avenues for modular machine concepts. It integrates a servo drive in a very compact design directly into the servomotor. Because the power electronics have been moved directly to the machine, the space required in the control cabinet is reduced to the size of a single coupling module, which supplies several servo drives with just a single cable via a distribution module.

    XTS with NCT enables contactless energy and data transmission to the XTS mover. By means of vacuum cups, electric motor-driven grippers or electric lifting magnets, a mover can pick up, deposit, transfer, align and stack products.
