System-integrated measurement technology for test benches in research and laboratories

With ever shorter innovation cycles, the demands on test benches are increasing in order to ensure product quality. Flexibility and modularity in both hardware and software are therefore a must.

Design changes to a component can only be evaluated quantitatively and reproducibly with a high level of synchronicity in signal recording and minimal measurement uncertainties. An automation system for test benches must support a wide variety of interfaces to the test specimen and to specialized measuring and testing systems, in line with the large number of sensors, as well as providing the complete range of actuators for automated test sequences. All data is synchronously recorded, visualized, and reliably stored in files or databases for analyses and comparisons. The integrated diagnosis of all test parameters allows you to concentrate on the test procedure. PC-based control also builds a bridge to agile, simulation-based product development: models from scientific tools can be used on the test bench without having to be adapted.
