The low-backlash planetary gear units from the AG2800 series with an output shaft in hygienic design are ideally suited for all applications in which fast, efficient and reliable cleaning is important, in particular in areas with direct food contact. The main feature of the corrosion-resistant, EHEDG and FDA-certified gear unit series is the dead-space-free housing in hygienic steel 1.4404. The surface is resistant to chemical cleaning agents and disinfectants (e.g. alkalis and acids such as chloride, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid). The triple seal concept ensures the highest possible protection rating, IP69X (max. 30 bar), and gives the design engineer completely new degrees of freedom in the layout of plants with maximum requirements for hygienic and sterile production. Apart from its outstanding CIP (Clean In Place) properties, this gear unit series impresses with its high transmissible torques, low torsional backlash and finely scaled transmission ratios.
