The XTS motor modules are the powerhouses of the XTS modular system. The integration of the linear motor with power output stages and position detection enables compact and flexible construction of intelligent transport systems. Combining straight sections with different radii (straight, 22.5° curve, -22.5° curve, 45° curve, and 180° curve) ensures the travel path is adapted to the local conditions as effectively as possible. This all combines to keep the plant footprint small and ensure excellent productivity.

Thanks to its high level of integration, the XTS motor module is a mechatronic module that combines motor function, multi-position detection, the power supply, and data communication. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less cabling and assembly work and shorter commissioning times.

The XTS motor modules with power supply provide the system with energy and create the communication interface to the control computer. Additional motor modules can be simply plugged together to form sections measuring up to 3 meters. The XTS motor modules with permanently connected 5 m supply cables are particularly compact. A model with a plug allows for longer cable lengths and can even simplify assembly under certain environmental conditions.

The motor module features a mechanical interface to facilitate direct mounting of guide rails. For the absorption of greater larger forces, a guide rail can be routed parallel to the motor modules. For this purpose, special black unicolor motor modules are available without mounting holes.

The new XTS EcoLine motor modules are a useful addition to the high-precision standard and NCT motor modules. They enable even more economic efficiency when using intelligent product transport because they are significantly cheaper over the same distance with full compatibility.

The addition of the NCT function to the XTS system enables contactless power and data transmission to the movers. In addition to the existing product transport function, active execution of processes – both during mover motion and at standstill – can now be performed directly on the mover. The hardware required for the transmission technology is fully integrated into the AT21xx motor modules so that the existing functionalities and compact design of the standard motor modules are retained.

The stainless steel XTS motor modules bring the advantage of allowing the XTS system to be used in even hygienically demanding environments. In fact, an IP69K protection rating can be achieved when the system is fully assembled. Its hygienic design has no hidden edges or indentations and is chemically resistant to many cleaning agents, allowing standard industry cleaning practices to be carried out with ease.
