TR3001 | TwinCAT 3 Training: PLC Programming and Diagnostics

The course focuses on the TwinCAT 3 environment mainly using IEC 61131-3 programming protocols, addressing of axes from the PLC (TwinCAT NC PTP), and communications options under TwinCAT (TwinCAT ADS). The training is aimed at PLC programmers who are switching to the TwinCAT system, but who are familiar with high-level language concepts such as declaration of variables, variable classes and structures. It also covers integration of Microsoft Visual Studio^® with TwinCAT 3.

Hardware Requirements

Please bring a laptop and mouse with Windows 7 or above that has administrator rights.

• Processor clock speed of 1.8 GHz or faster; dual-core or better is recommended
• Main memory: 2 GB RAM, 4 GB RAM recommended
• Hard drive space: Up to 10 GB of the available memory
• Hard drive speed: It is recommended to use a Solid State Disk (SSD)
• Graphic card that supports a resolution of at least 720p (1208 x 720). Support for a resolution of WXGA (1366 x 768) or higher is recommended.

Conditions of training

• A Purchase Order is required to provisionally book a seat in the training room. We require both the purchase order and payment two weeks prior to the training date.
• If the Purchase order and payment are not received by close of business on the Friday two weeks prior to the training, then the proposed dates will be forfeited, and the next available dates will be proposed.
• There is a maximum of 4 participants per course.
• A minimum of 3 participants are required. If not, the training will be postponed, and the next available dates will be communicated.
• If all 4 participants are from a single company then the training can be customised to the needs of that company. Otherwise the standard material will be adhered to.
